Shenzhen held a seminar on smart pole construction

With the great attention of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and the support of relevant functional departments, the Shenzhen smart pole industry is at the forefront of the country in terms of system, mechanism, smart pole standard formulation, the establishment of smart pole expert committees, and smart pole pilot construction. In order to promote the further healthy and rapid development of the smart pole industry, the Shenzhen Smart Pole Construction Work Seminar was successfully held on the 19th floor of Shenzhen Smart Plaza recently.

The seminar was attended by representatives from the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, the Municipal Meteorological Bureau, Bao'an District, Longgang District, Longhua District, Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone, Dapeng New District and other relevant government agencies, as well as representative from China mobile, China telecom, China Unicom, and Huawei technologies, CLP, China Tongjian, Telecom Engineering, Baima Technology and other units.

This conference summarized the work results of Shenzhen's smart pole construction pilot projects, focusing on resolving the difficulties encountered in the construction of smart poles. Smart poles are a limited urban public information infrastructure resource. It is necessary to fully realize that the construction of smart poles plays an important role in smart cities, digital cities, refined urban management, smart parks and smart scenic spots. It should be included in the early planning in the process of new construction, reconstruction and expansion of smart poles from the height of being built in the contemporary era and benefiting future generations, to achieve all equipment in one pole, one-time construction, multi-party win-win, long-term benefits, and improve the happiness and sense of gain of the citizens.

The current problems in the construction of smart poles mainly include unclear construction units, scattered construction sites, low-cost bidding smart poles that are not smart, and the profit model is unclear. The construction of smart poles requires planning, government investment, multi-participation and market-oriented operation to form cooperation and competition. The ordinary people are upgrading their consumption, and the lamppost should also be upgraded.
