Recently, Xiamen Baima Technology Co., Ltd.'s 5G/4G smart street light gateway product line has added two new patents, an edge computing gateway for smart poles and an edge computing gateway compatible with communication protocols. These two technologies successfully passed the patent inspection and certification of the State Intellectual Property Office and were awarded a patent certificate.

In the application of smart lamppost, due to the long distance between the cloud and each smart lamppost, each smart lamppost need to connect to the cloud platform through wired or wireless network of 5G/4G gateway. Due to factors such as the risk of instability in communication and the cost of data flow, the smart pole must be able to continue to operate normally in a disconnected or weak signal state.
